Boomgates - Cartons and Cans

Boomgates - Cartons and Cans

Perfect lilting jangle on this one. Boomgates craft pop with a longing tone. Music that makes you wish it were autumn.

Veronica Falls - So Tired

Veronica Falls - So Tired

Waiting For Something To Happen came out last year, and was one of my favorite spring-time albums. It’s worth listening to every time. It has all the jangle, hooks, fuzz, and catchy/sad lyrics that you would want in a pop album.

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Living North

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Living North

One of the best songs on Why There Are Mountains this song is short and to the point. Letting that hook loose early on, and it just blazes on from there. Very reminiscent of the best 90s indie rock think Dino Jr.’s catchy lead lines. Though it still maintains that unique Cymbals Eat Guitars’ strangeness to it. Can’t wait for their new album to come out!

The Beatles - If I Needed Someone

The Beatles - If I Needed Someone

A very Byrds-esque jangle on this song. Harrison was apparently very heavily McGuinn influenced during the Rubber Soul era. Fine by me. This album is perfect.

Yo La Tengo - The Summer

Yo La Tengo - The Summer

"And the summer comes undone…"

Radiator Hospital - Do You Remember?

Radiator Hospital - Do You Remember?

Some really good pop from Philly!

Yuck - Middle Sea

Yuck - Middle Sea

The 2nd Yuck album has really grown on me. While the second half still sounds pretty generic and forgettable, the first half has some really good tracks! This is definitely the stand out.

My Bloody Valentine - Sunny Sundae Smile

My Bloody Valentine - Sunny Sundae Smile

Straight out of the gate this song blows up with fuzz. Early MBV were the best noise poppers out there. Combining perfect jangle and melodic songwriting with the noise that they would later be associated with.

Trick Mammoth - Delphine (With A Purpose)

Trick Mammoth - Delphine (With A Purpose)

This song will catch your ear and never let go. Floristry is a perfect summer album, meeting all your jangle needs.
